With ballots hitting mailboxes across King County this week, District 1 Councilmember Rod Dembowski announced another round of strong endorsements from a broad range of community organizations.
Joining an earlier endorsement from NARAL Pro-Choice Washington, Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest (PPVNW) today endorsed Dembowski for a full term on the King County Council. In their endorsement, PPVNW cited Rod’s values and commitment to women’s reproductive rights.
“Having the support of our region’s leading women’s rights advocacy groups means a lot to me personally,” Dembowski said, “I have had the opportunity to support the work of both of these organizations throughout my life and I look forward to working with them in the future.”
King County’s leading editorial boards also endorsed Dembowski. The Seattle Times which endorsed earlier in the month was joined today by The Stranger. Both papers cited his commitment to social programs, moderate leanings, and the early work he has done on the council in just his first months in office.
In addition, Dembowski’s broad coalition of support was bolstered with endorsements from the Seattle Fire Fighters IAFF Local 27, Cascade Bicycle Club, every Democratic Legislative District Organization in Council District 1, and the Washington State Council of County and City Employees.
